Timothy
Wargo
Sep 11, 1961 — Sep 27, 2026
Timothy Wargo, 65, lifelong resident of Indiana Township, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026 after a two-and-a half year battle of complications from a stroke. He was preceded by his father, Joseph Henry Wargo and brother Joseph Michael Wargo; he is survived by his mother Yolanda M. Wargo, sister Susan A .Wargo, as well as nieces and nephew Megan, Ella, and Noah.
Tim was a proud and devoted life member of Indiana Township VFC #1 Dorseyville, Station 172. He joined the department in 1978 at the age of 16 as a junior firefighter, after passing his one year probationary period. It was his passion and his calling, it was all he wanted to do since he was a boy. He grew into that role and served selflessly and with pride. Chief engineer, lieutenant, assistant chief, pump operator, mentor, and role model to all he served with. He was active in the department with trainings, meetings, equipment care and maintenance, and he responded to calls 24/7 without hesitation. He was a role model, a hero, and uncle to all who knew him and looked up to him.
Tim drove truck for several years after graduating from Fox Chapel Area High School in 1979. He moved on to work 35 years for the public works department of the Borough of Fox Chapel where he served with their volunteer fire department as well. He was an avid hunter and trapper.
