Shirley J. "Mitzi" Tahon, 84, of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Sunny View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler. She was born on November 25, 1936, in Bairdford, West Deer Township, the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Antolic) Peluchette, and has lived her all of her life. Shirley was a machine operator for the HJ Heinz Company for 20 years. She enjoyed yard sales, reading, bingo, and raising her children. Shirley is survived by her beloved children, Shirley J. (Greg) Shurina, of Clinton Township, Kevin J. (Debby) Tahon, of West Deer Township, and Melissa Maholic, of West Deer Township; grandchildren, Dennis (Laurel) Tahon, Bradley (Heather) Tahon, Justin (Melissa) Shurina, Tiffany (Hoover) Gibson , Michael Florentine, Joseph Florentine, Ross Maholic, Emily Maholic; great grandchild, Hoover, Aaliyah, Kyrie, Sydney, Drew, Isabella, Lilly, Rose, Mary, Kate, and Sam; siblings, Connie "Dolly" Schwab, of West Deer Township and John "Coke" (Rose) Peluchette, of Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Tahon Jr.; daughter, Charlene D. Florentine; siblings, Beatrice Lustic, Lavern "Peanuts" Peluchette, Lois "Chicke" Zinner , Audrey Podmilsak, Janet Hamilton, Karen Skurka, and Judy Demko.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, Friday, January 8, 2021, at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton, 15076. A funeral services will be conducted 11 am, Saturday, in the funeral home with Rev. Bob Henry. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband, Alfred, at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
