Sherrel L. Hughes, 77, of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully, July 24,2025, in the loving presence of her devoted husband of 53 years, Robert F Hughes. Sherrel was a gentle, creative, and deeply caring women whose life was defined by love - for her family, for nature, and for the beauty she found in everyday moments. She married her best friend, Robert, on October 9, 1971, and together they built a life filled with laughter, support, and shared adventures. They made their home in Harrison Michigan, before moving to Pittsburgh, Pa in 1989 to raise their family. She is survived by a daughter, Taryn E. Hughes NY, and son, Christopher R.(Sara) Gibsonia, Pa. Sherrel was a proud and loving grandmother to Megan and Max Hughes of Gibsonia, Pa, whose lives were brightened by her warmth and affection. Sherrel had a deep love for gardening, photography, and art- each a reflection of her appreciation for beauty and her quiet, expressive soul. Her presence brought comfort and calm to those around her, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Vera Palmer, and in- laws, Arnold and June Hughes. Sherrel will be remembered always for her kindness, creativity, and love that she gave to her family. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren, the photos she captured and all the lives that she touched so deeply.  Private funeral arrangements were placed in the care and trust of Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.
