Natalie
Earls
Apr 13, 1972 — Dec 28, 2025
Natalie Earls, 53, of West Deer Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Sunday, December 28, 2025. Natalie was a devoted public educator whose greatest joy was her students, whom she loved and cared for as if they were her own. For more than 20 years, she faithfully served the West Deer community, leaving a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom.
At Deer Lakes Middle and High School, Natalie taught foreign language while also serving as an accomplished choreographer and director, bringing countless theatrical productions to life. Through both language and the arts, she inspired confidence, creativity, cultural curiosity, and pride in generations of students. Her commitment extended far beyond the classroom and the stage; she was deeply involved in school activities and athletics—always present, always supportive, and always advocating for "her kids." She was a proud 1994 graduate of Slippery "The Rock" University.
Natalie believed deeply in learning beyond classroom walls. She loved to travel and found great joy in sharing the wider world with her students, helping them see possibilities far beyond their immediate surroundings. She encouraged cultural understanding and lifelong curiosity, values that were central to both her teaching and her life. When she wasn't teaching or supporting school activities, Natalie was an avid tap dancer and a passionate lover of the arts, frequently attending plays and performances in Pittsburgh's Cultural District.
Her service to the community also included her work as a color guard instructor for multiple schools and her involvement in music ministry. Natalie was a dedicated member of Saint Victor's Parish, where she sang in the choir and served as a cantor.
Natalie was known for her loyalty to her friends and her sarcastic sense of humor. She was a devoted Pittsburgh Penguins fan and a loyal Steelers supporter. She cherished time spent with friends, especially through her card clubs, where she shared countless hours of laughter, conversation, and friendly competition.
Above all else, Natalie was a loving daughter, sister, godmother, and aunt. She is survived by her mother, Donna; her sister, Joanna; Joanna's husband, Eric; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Ella, Marlee, and Joey, to whom she was a wonderful and devoted aunt. She is also survived by her aunt and godmother, Janis McIntyre; her uncle, Dan McIntyre; and many cherished cousins: Danny (Christa), Sean (Amy), Anthony, Chad, and Kate. Natalie was preceded in death by her father, George Earls.
Natalie's legacy lives on in the countless students she mentored, the colleagues she supported, the languages, music, and art she shared, and the family and friends who were fortunate enough to be loved by her. Her presence was a gift, her dedication unwavering, and her impact immeasurable.
