Michael P. Micklow, 79, of Russellton, passed away, March 30, 2023, at Platinum Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 7, 1943 in Russellton, son of the late, John and Agnes (Cheloanoff) Micklow. Mike was a elementary and grade school teacher in West Virginia and at Dorseyville Junior High, Indiana Township. He was a member of the PSEA and belonged to Walters Chapel United Methodist Church. Mike was a friend to everyone he met and loved the children of his church. Mike had a big heart and would always bring gifts to the children of his neighborhood, Walters Chapel and deliver hoagies to the nurses at Platinum Ridge. He also enjoyed making pirogi's with his brother, John, at St. Michael's Church in Curtisville. Mike is survived by his children, Missy (Ed) Muller of, North Carolina, Wendy (Ron) Muntz of, Hampton Township, Michael (Erin) Micklow of, North Carolina and Amanda Micklow of, Washington State; three grandchildren; siblings, Al (Bunny) Micklow of, Ohio and Patricia Malisher of, Murrysville. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kay Arlott, John Micklow and Marlene Grimm. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service 12:30 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Walters Chapel United Methodist Church, Rural Ridge.
