Mary Buchanich, 95, of West Deer Township, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Consulate Health Care of Cheswick. She was born November 24, 1917 in Creighton to the late Mike and Barbara Malisher. After her parents young death she was raised by the late Joseph and Mary Klabnik. Mrs. Buchanich lived in the area all her live and was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and the Jednota Club in Tarentum. She enjoyed Cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Michael J. (Kate) Buchanich of Hampton Township; Daughter, Marilyn (Richard) Powers of Oradell, NJ; Grandchildren Michelle (John) Daugherty, Jackie (Mike) Raso, Jennifer Powers, Michael D. Buchanich, and Suzie (Greg) Vukovan; thirteen great-grand children and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Buchanich; Brothers, Joe and Paul Malisher; Sister Ann Davis.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation Sunday, March 3, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home Starr Road, Russellton. Christian funeral mass will be held 9:30 am Monday, March 4, 2013, at Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton, with Rev. James P. Holland. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
