Marie C. (Simonetti) Kustra, 89, passed away, Thursday, September 22, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born on May 12, 1933, in Russellton, daughter of the late, Bernardo (Fred) and Anna Simonetti. She has resided in Russellton all of her life. Marie married Walter A. Kustra on January 31, 1953 and he was blessed to call her his wife for 69 years. She worked at the former Glenshaw Glass, Shaler, from 1963 until her retirement in 1993. She worked full time and raised her family, at a time when many women did not work outside of their homes. She instilled the true value of hard work to all of her children and grandchildren, and how your work ethic is reflected in everything you do in life,. Marie loved to cook, bake, and decorate her home for the holidays. She loved her family most of all, and leaves us with many wonderful memories. Marie was strong in her Catholic faith and although we will miss her greatly, we know she is at peace and home with the Lord.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Walter A. Kustra; sons, Walter F. (Joella) Kustra, Gregory A. (Carolyn) Kustra, Jeffery L. (Denise) Kustra; daughter, Lisa M. (Steve) Paskorz; grandchildren, Gabriel (Allison) Kustra, Walter A. (Lisa) Kustra,  Victor S. Kustra, Michaelene L. (Adam) Frauenheim, Marissa A. (Eric) Hoge, Jeffrey M. Kustra, Stephen T. (Katie) Paskorz, Jordan K. Paskorz and Paige M. Paskorz; great grandchildren, Levi and Blake Frauenheim, Walter (Jack), Sophie and Theo Kustra, Ava Hoge and Paisley Paskorz; sister, Elizabeth Page and many Nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Rudy Simonetti, Nancy Truckley, Eleanor Truckley, Polly Davis and Frances Flaminio.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation 4 to 8 pm, Monday, September 26, 2022, at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton 15076. A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am, Tuesday, at Our Lady of the Lakes, Transfiguration Campus, with Rev James P. Holland, officiant. Marie will be laid to rest at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
