Margaret B. Savka, 82, of West Deer Township, passed away, October 25, 2021, at her residence, after a year and a half battle with cancer. Margaret was born on March 15, 1939, in Natrona Heights, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ehrmentrout) Danik. Margaret loved, first & foremost, spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughters. She also was an excellent cook and baker. She liked to do search-a-word puzzles and play bingo with her daughter and granddaughter. She loved to help family and friends whenever she could and was able to. She is survived by her beloved children, Amy (George) Shurina and Stephen M. (Tonya) Durkac, Jr.; granddaughters, Erica and Leann Shurina; sisters, Mary Lavrich and Verna Myers and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Michelle Durkac; brothers, Alan, Joseph Jr. and Lester Danik; brother- in-laws, Joseph Lavrich and Boyd Myers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton, West deer Township, 15076. A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Friday, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Campus, with Rev James P. Holland, officiant. Margaret will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local hospice or cancer center.
