Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Yaconis, 82, West Deer Township, passed away peacefully at her residence, October 7, 2023. She was born in Russellton, June 30, 1941, daughter of the late James and Anna (Kopich) Farrasso, and has been a lifelong resident of West Deer Township. Kathy was a graduate of West Deer High School in 1959. She worked for J.C. Penny's and the former Veltri's Restaurant in Plum Boro. Kathy was married in 1962 to the late James E. Yaconis and became a homemaker. Family became the love of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish serving her church as a member of the Ladies of Charity. Kathy enjoyed playing cards, bowling and casino trips. She is survived by her loving children, Deanna (Terry) Gaston and James V. Yaconis; adored grandchildren, Scott, Jeremy, and Casey Gaston and Hannah, Allison and Katie Yaconis; brother Robert (Patty) Farrasso and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James E. Yaconis in 2022 and brother, James V. Farrasso. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton 15076. A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 am, Thursday, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Campus.
