June, L. (McGowan) May, 86, of West Deer Township, passed away, Friday, September 06, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 15, 1927 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, to the late Joseph and Ila (Mahan) McGowan. June worked in the cafeteria at the former Bradley Center, Dorseyville, and Deer Lakes School District from where she retired in 1993. She attended East Union Presbyterian Church, West Deer Twp. and will be remembered for her deep faith and love for her family.

Mrs. May is survived by her children, Lora Lee (Richard) Edahl of Pittsburgh, Judith (Jon) Parrish of Middlesex Twp., Lisa (Edward) Mazary of Treasure Lake, Jodi (Thomas) Fitzsimmons of Florence, SC, and Vonna May-Miller of West Deer Twp.; Brother, Joseph "Buck" (Sandy) McGowan of WA; Grandchildren Andrew, Adam, and Aron May, Torre Edahl, Casey and Dustin Parrish, Seth, Evan, and Brent Mazary, Megan and Makayla May, Joella and Annika Miller,; Daughter In-Laws Mary and Diane May. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd May; Sons L. David and Dana May; infant daughter Tammy Sue May; Sister Vonna Heimbuecher.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Rd., Russellton, West Deer Twp. Funeral services will be private Monday with the Rev. James and Jo Ramsey officiating. June will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lloyd, at Lakewood Memorial, Indiana Twp. Family suggests memorials to East Union Presbyterian Church or the Salvation Army of Pittsburgh.
