Joseph F. Hartwick, 85, of Springdale Township, passed away Christmas Eve, December 24, 2016, at the VA Hospital, Oakland. He was born March 13, 1931, in Pittsburgh, to the late Raymond and Marie Hartwick. Joseph retired from the former Edwin L. Wiegand Company, Pittsburgh, after 20 years of service. Joseph was a tank commander for the United States Army during the Korean War. He was attached to the 3rd Infantry Division. Joseph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Laura (Krueger) Hartwick; children, Joseph G. (Denise) Hartwick of Colorado, Michele (Eric) Zentgraf of Penn Hills, and Holly Ann Dott of Springdale Township; sister, Catharine (Robert) Thieret of Florida; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson Tyler Dott; and four brothers. Friends and relatives may pay their respects 2 to 6 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton, 15076. A blessing services will be held 6 pm, Tuesday, in the funeral home with Rev. Alan Morris of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick.
