John "Chick" Sabatini, 93, of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, passed away suddenly, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his residence. Born in Rural Ridge November 23, 1919 to the late Quintillo and Julia (Gramaldi) Sabatini he was a resident of Rural Ridge all of his life. Mr. Sabatini was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He worked for the Allegheny County Public Works Road Department, Blawnox , retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret L. (Massimino) Sabatini; Sons John R. (Audrey) Sabatini Sr. of Hamilton, OH, Frank A. (Karen) Sabatini of Carlisle, Pa, and Andrew A. (Theresa) Sabatini of Acme, Pa; Daughter Christina (David) Zott of Tucson, AZ; Grandchildren John R. (Emma) Sabatini Jr., Christopher (Shana) Sabatini, Christy (Ryan) Maerder, Amy Sabatini, Laura Sabatini, Matthew Sabatini, Claire Sabatini, Melinda Zott, and Douglas Zott.

Friends will be received Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 6 to 8pm and Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm in the Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, Starr Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. A blessing service will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, 10am in the funeral home with Rev. Alan Morris. Interment will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
