John A. Meder, 87, of West Deer Twp, passed away December, 2, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on August, 16, 1928 in Pittsburgh to the late John and Willamina Meder. John worked for the US Postal Service retiring from the Warrendale bulk mail center. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing poker with friends. John is survived by his children; Linda (Stephen) Grabowski of Lower Burrell, Margie (Gene) Geyser of West Deer Twp, Daryl (Susan) Meder of West Deer Twp, and Ron (Carolyn) Meder of West Deer Twp; sister, Rita Hazen of Kennedy Twp; 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, great granddaughter, and 4 step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Charlotte Meder, and sister, Marion Sabina. Friends are invited to attend a christen funeral mass, 10 am, Friday, December 4, 2015 at St Victor Roman Catholic Church, Bairdford, West Deer Twp., with Rev. Charles Speicher. John will be laid to rest next to his wife, Charlotte, at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.
