Gina Prato, 98, formerly of Rural Ridge, Indiana Township, passed away, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence. She was born on October 7, 1923 in Saluzzo Italy, daughter of the late Giovanni Cristina (Sareti) Sereno. Gina was a homemaker who loved being with family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, making many Italian dishes and known for her homemade ravioli and sauce. She also spent many hours in her yard gardening and manicuring her flowers beds. Gina was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish and a life member of the Rural Ridge Volunteer Fire Company. She was always in the kitchen with her friends preparing food for the fire department functions. Gina is survived by her daughter, Gina (David) Disanti of, Frazer Township; grandchildren, John (Deana) Kost of, Indiana Township, Cristina (Michael) Pritchard of, Centerville Va., David (Jen) Disanti Jr. of, Sarver, and Domenic Disanti of, Omaha NB; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kyra and Brendan Kost, Aj, Brianna and Chase Pritchard, Elli and Josie Disanti, and one expected great granddaughter; sister in-law, Augusta Prato and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Prato in 2005, daughter Piera Kost and infant son Elio Arthur Prato; two bothers and seven sisters. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation 4 to 6 pm, Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton, 15076. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am, Monday, at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Campus. Gina will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Richard, at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
