Obituary

Edith Elizabeth (Rainaldi) Simonetti, 101, of Harwick, Pennsylvania, was called home to the Lord on May 30, 2026. Born on September 28, 1924, in Curtisville, Pennsylvania, Edith married Arkline (Ike) Simonetti on June 14, 1947, at the age of 22. She spent 68 years making her home in Harwick, where she devoted her life to her family with love, strength, and unwavering care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arkline J. Simonetti; her son, Robert Simonetti; her parents, Quirino and Concetta Rainaldi; and her siblings, Albert (Eleanor) Rainaldi, Dora (Earl) Zinsser, Evelyn (Ellsworth "Al") Rode, and Richard Rainaldi.

Edith is lovingly remembered by her children, Linda (David) Bertram, Gerald Simonetti, Liane (Brad) Majoy, Dennis Simonetti, and Lisa (Richard) Matyas; her grandchildren, Michelle (Marc) Gray, Diane (Tim) Keeler, Brian (Renee) Majoy, Daniel (Julia) Matyas, Lauren (Barry) Greenfield, Steven Matyas, Calli Majoy, Emily Matyas, and Maggie Jo Simonetti; her great-grandchildren, Chase, Mason, Olivia, McKenzie, and Madelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

Even at 101, Edith was known for her quick wit, sharp mind, and was a joy to be around. Her delicious homemade Italian cooking brought comfort and happiness to all who entered her home. She had a genuine interest in other people, was a wonderful matriarch and a cherished Nonna, whose presence, warmth and love will be deeply missed. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

With faith in the promise of the Resurrection, we commend Edith to God's eternal care. May she rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her.  In lieu of flowers family suggest memorials to: Our Lady of Victory Church - Guardian Angels Parish, 1319 Low Grade Rd, Harwick, PA 15049
