Charles D. "Doug" Thompson, 71, of West Deer Township, passed away, Sunday, July 31, 2022, at his residence. Doug was born in Harrison Township, March 8, 1951, son of the late George and Beverly (English) McWilliams Sr. He was a 1969 graduate of West Deer High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Doug was a online admissions representative for the former Argosy University before his retirement. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons No 573 were he was a Past Master. Doug is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandy (Staley) Thompson; son, Matthew (Tracy) Thompson of, Seven Fields; daughter, Melissa (Justin) Shurina of, Clinton Township; grandchildren, Madelyn and Luke Thompson, Sydney and Andrew Shurina, and one expected grandchild; siblings, Patti (James) Geiser and George T.
